That would miss the character completely.

Williams can be warm, funny, generous and almost fatherly. He genuinely sees something special in Rod and recognizes the young man's intelligence and potential. But Williams also believes that nothing in business is truly free. When he opens a door for someone, he expects that relationship to eventually have value.

His power comes from access, not intimidation. He knows people. He has money. He understands the music industry. He can create opportunities most people could never create for themselves.

Williams rarely needs to raise his voice.
